As a PIO interacting with incident and area command to prepare for a media briefing was the most valuable because it helped me understand the response and learn what questions to ask.

Some of the law enforcement response lectures were least important to me because of my position but I understand their importance to other participants.

My role (PIO) didn't need all the tactical response (however it's good to know!).

In the scenarios, PIOs self-deployed to Command. I suggest making someone there call for the PIO as it's on the checklist.
